A Non CO2 planted aquarium with soil.

Aquarium size : 18 inch/ 12 inch / 12 inch

Basic Equipment details : Tropica soil - 4 lit , SUNSUN surface skimmer JY 02-1 pc, 

Scaping details : Seiryu Rock - 1.4 Kg, Driftwood - 2 Pcs ( 0.700 Kg total), Filler material sand - 2 Kg to uplift the back ground soil of left position.        

Water parameters & Setup : Low TDS soft water (commercial grade) used while setup the tank. To remove excess chlorine from water Chloro away added. Micro life S2 added from first day to boost startup of beneficial bacteria colony. Before the planting I decorate the tank with soil (approx. 1.5 inch thickness) filtration system & light( 6-7 hours daily) . It's a long 7 days to complete the nitrogen cycle. Parameters was checked by test kits and then the tank ready for final Scaping and plantation.

Plants Details – Anubias Nana (1 Rhizomes), Jungle Val (Vallisneria Americana), Polysperma, Star Grass.

A colorful background plants and can be use for a bushy mid ground plant with proper shape by continue and planned trimming process. Origin - From Italy. Cultivar of Rotala Routandifolia  Care & Propagation  - The best part about this plant is it can shows color and healthy growth under ordinary light too (0.5-0.75 watt per litter). Nutrient rich aqua soil and minimum to moderate CO2 needed for optimum growth and coloration. It can survive in non CO2 planted tank. In non CO2 planted aquarium it will shows slight greenish yellow coloration. Its a fast growing plants. Produces lots of stem cutting in CO2 induced tank. Can survive wide temperature range (16-28) degree C.

It has Varity of common names like 'Princess Cichlids', 'Princess of Burundi', The name Brichardi honors Pierre Brichard ,an aquarium fish exporter near lake Tanganyika. These are co-operative breeders where offspring of both sexes continue to stay as helpers in the territory of the dominant breeding pair. And take part in territory defense and brood care. These species are substrate brooders. Food habit in wild- Omnivorous. Small crustaceans & invertebrates found in the bio film of rocky substance. and little Zooplankton.
