Brichardi Cichlids are rock dwelling members of the tribe Lamprologini in lake Tanganyika. It has Varity of common names like 'Princess Cichlids', 'Princess of Burundi', The name Brichardi honors Pierre Brichard ,an aquarium fish exporter near lake Tanganyika.

These are co-operative breeders where offspring of both sexes continue to stay as helpers in the territory of the dominant breeding pair. And take part in territory defense and brood care. These species are substrate brooders.

Food habit in wild- Omnivorous. Small crustaceans & invertebrates found in the bio film of rocky substance. and little Zooplankton.
