Making of a low tech nature aquarium.

                                                                                                            stage : 1

Tank Size - 18 inch/18 inch/ 18 inch

Stage 1 - 4 Kg of well washed Greenland sand used at the bottom for lift up the back position to create a slope. 2 types of filter is used , one SUNSUN JY O3 surface skimmer and one SUNSUN HOB filter. A 50 Watt thermostat is used.1 Pc X7 (15 Watt) light used for this plantation.

                                                                                                            Stage : 2

 Stage 2 - 3.5 Kg of clean Aqua soil(Tropica) added for plants. Slope is well maintained by soil too. 1 Inch minimum soil depth maintain through out. Some hole Rocks is added to grip and maintain perfect slope.

                                                                                                            Stage :3


Stage 3 - Time for some Scaping, 3 Pcs driftwood (0.800 Kg) and 1.3 Kg hole rock is used to decorate the tank. These driftwoods are well seasoned (Approx. 2 months Seasoning done) .


                                                                                                            Stage : 4

Stage 4 - Now plants are added. Jungle Val and Hygrophila deformis added at back side of the aquarium, at mid ground middle of the tank some Star grass added, Hygrophila Polysperma added from mid ground to fore ground area at right side of the tank. Tank is ready to fill with water. Soft low TDS water is used. Micro life S2 added to boost up the beneficial bacteria colony growth. Both filtration system started. Thermostat on to maintain temperature at 26 degree C. Initially the water is cloudy.




                                                                                                            stage : 5

Stage 5 - Photo taken after a week after a 20% water change. 2 filtration system running continuously. 7 hours of light period. Few drops of bio bacteria added after addition of new water. Some Mountain Minows & Neon Tetra are added.

A mid ground brown narrow leaf plant. It can be used as foreground plants at both sides of aquarium. Continue trimming needed to maintain proper size. Also known as hygrophila lancea. Origin - South & East Asia Care & Propagation  - Aquatic Soil or DIY made aqua soil needed to survive. Moderate to high light needed for Hygrophila Araguia ( 1 watt per litter). Though it can survive without CO2 system, but Nutrient rich Soil needed for a good growth. For optimum color and faster growth pressurized CO2 supply needed. Medium to high CO2 necessary for midground bushy propagation.

Rotala Orange

A colorful background plants and can be use for a bushy mid ground plant with proper shape by continue and planned trimming process. Origin - From Italy. Cultivar of Rotala Routandifolia  Care & Propagation  - The best part about this plant is it can shows color and healthy growth under ordinary light too (0.5-0.75 watt per litter). Nutrient rich aqua soil and minimum to moderate CO2 needed for optimum growth and coloration. It can survive in non CO2 planted tank. In non CO2 planted aquarium it will shows slight greenish yellow coloration. Its a fast growing plants. Produces lots of stem cutting in CO2 induced tank. Can survive wide temperature range (16-28) degree C.

Neolamprologus Brichardi

  Bric hardi Cichlids are rock dwelling members of the tribe Lamprologini in lake Tanganyika. It has Varity of common names like 'Princess Cichlids', 'Princess of Burundi', The name Brichardi honors Pierre Brichard ,an aquarium fish exporter near lake Tanganyika. These are co-operative breeders where offspring of both sexes continue to stay as helpers in the territory of the dominant breeding pair. And take part in territory defense and brood care. These species are substrate brooders. Food habit in wild- Omnivorous. Small crustaceans & invertebrates found in the bio film of rocky substance. and little Zooplankton.
