A beautiful lake Tanganyika species it is. Minimum 2 ft. or above 50 liter aquarium needed for a juli pair. for a 7/8 pcs colony 3 ft. and above aquarium preferred. 
How to setup a juli tank? fine sand needed for a juli tank with lots of rocks. River rock or any smooth rocks are preferred for juli tank. you have to create lots of hiding space to set some colony. stable & properly cycled aquarium needed to introduce these small tangyaniyakan. About The filtration : a 15 watt top filter is enough for a 3 ft aquarium of juli. to boost up bacterial colony dosing of bio bacteria are recommended with some filter media. 20 % weekly water change recommended to maintain good water quality.
