Natural environment – Fresh water rocky slow water flow areas

Practical tank setup ideas – aquarium with floating plants on the surface and relatively Subdued lighting. Fresh water planted/Low level water with river stone setup. Minimum tank size should be 2/1/1 ft. for 2 pair.

Water condition- Soft water preferable .Moderately hard will be ok (pH 6.0–7.5)

Temperature- 23–27 °C

Size at maturity –2 inch

Expected life span – 2 years-4 years

Tank mates – tetras/Cory cats/Its not a shoaling fish. Can be kept a pair with other tank mates Food habits – live / frozen bloodworms, flakes, small / almost fine powdered dry foods

Filtration system – HOB or canister according to tank size
